Mammoth Grinder/Hatred Surge-Split 12"

Mammoth Grinder Side:

Saying this band has recently stepped it up a notch would be an understatement. The band trades a little more of the hardcore influence for more metal(this was apparent on the Extinction of Humanity 12" but things seem more focused this time around). Absolutely no filler with these guys just 3 ragers that are done by the book that will have you head banging and cutting pentagrams into your skin in no time.

Hatred Surge Side:

Grind kings. There have been some major changes for this band recently, well the one that is most noticeable is that Faiza is no longer with the band. Filling the gap for her is Rahi Geramifar of Insect Warfare. Don't get me wrong Rahi is the man and when I saw him play with Hatred Surge they fucking killed it but there was just something i loved about the male/female vocals together. Anyways, the Surge goes on. This batch of songs is not unlike those off their Deconstruct 12", the breakdown and blast beat still being their greatest weapon when combined properly. My favorite song on this one so far would be the mid tempo banger "Disconnected".

Summary:

Both bands do work on this split and i cant think of another two bands that go together so well. The more I listen to this one the better it gets. Released on Cyclopean Records. Sold out, perhaps a 2nd press will follow the 1st. Red vinyl for the pre-order.
